Recommendations for a floor mat for the baby? I am looking for a durable, washable (water resistent / proof), slightly padded play mat floor for my baby to play. I am looking for a size 4 'x 4' and I do not want to pay more than $ 50. Has anyone tried these pieces "together" the moss? Do they work on carpet too?
We got an alphabet, and love. We have different ways to prepare (6x5, 15x2) and flexibility is great. They held together pretty well, but on a carpet fiber long he could not.
For cleaning I wipe with a damp cloth or 2 times a month. It is very sticky crumbs and dirt.
To maintain its stability and making it more padding as he was learning to walk, we used to get the large industrial carpet, you can get at hardware stores below. We now use those in other places, but left the alphabet carpet where he can still play with him. He likes to tear (22Mo).
For rolled / stored: We also have two yoga mats that we used for different things - maybe two of them leads tied together on the bottom would do what you want. They are thinner than the lock carpet together.
To give you an idea of the depth - when he was learning to walk, we used the mat to cover our homes, but the lock and mats (2 coats) to cover the ground. He hit the ground much more often.
I used it and I think they work hard. I've used on a tile floor and the large rug in my living room, but not the carpet. I actually found a target that corresponded to my room because they were actually intended for college dorm.
Hope this helps.
