I also agree with the earlier statement regarding the addition of a little color. If you are allowed to paint, I would maybe do a light yellow. Otherwise, I would perhaps make a wooden frame with a matte yellow.

The bathroom? This is not your bathroom too?

However it looks like he has a bunch of earth tones, so ...... you could buy a canvas and make something earthy. Paint it a color like almond and land use stencils or something .... or get a bar of wood and put some clear glass bottles with shells or dirt or something.
