If the engine is shot, go to an output of the device used, and buy a unit used to them.
If housing all around you that you can not switch and see the engine?
If yes, then if it is like mine, go through the top. Remove the top and look down inside. I do not remember if the tank must be removed or if it is taxable to the tub in place. It is a pita versus actual washing machines of the 70s.
