Discount Beach Towels

Discount Beach TowelsHow do you put a percentage discount on a price?

I forgot a lot about it lol summer is an example.

One store gives 30% discount on all items. find the selling price for each item.

T-Shirt $ 8.99

Flip Flops $ 6.00

Beach Towel $ 12.40

I do not want you to tell me the answers I just want to know how to do problems. thnx everyone:)

30% = 30/100 = 0.30
Price = original price - discount
= 100% - 30%
= 70%
= 0.70 the initial price
T-shirt = 0.70X = $ 8.99 $ 6.29
Flip flop = 0.70 x $ 6.00 = $ 4.20
Towel = 0.70 X $ 12.40 = $ 8.68

you take the price and multiply it by the discount, but delivery is to have a comma before the #. As 8.99x.30 = 2.67 if you subtract from 8.99 and theres your awnser hoped it helped =]
