If you're like many people you may dread the thought of swimsuit season. It is now time for you in much better shape before the summer. If you have thought about joining a gym, here is a list of things to look for. To turn fat into muscle, you'll need the right place. Do not spend your hard earned money until you consider all of these tips.

1. Location. Obviously, you do not want to drive forever to get to your gym. On days you do not feel very motivated this will give you another excuse. The best location would be somewhere between your home and work (or school). A place you go to almost every day. This subtle reminder can really help you stay on track and help you turn fat into muscle without too much struggle.

2. The rates and conditions. If you are prone to transfer your job and you do not want to pay for a membership of three years somewhere. Ideally, you should find a place that is one month per month of such system .. These types of payment options used for all but impossible to find, but with increased competition gym is a way you are trying to register. You also want to ask what is included with your monthly subscription, you must pay extra if you want to take a course? Is there a towel or any other fees "hidden" costs that you should know about?

But if you're a little more than one type social butterfly who is always interested in meeting like minded people you should consider if many members are in a similar demographic as you, same age, sex, etc.

4. The opening hours. Most gyms will have a very good schedule. Hours usually becomes more of an issue if you want to take lessons.

5. Personal trainers. How are they, how are they qualified and how much they charge? Especially with the training aspect you really need to make sure that you trust for advice on how to turn fat into muscle knows what they are doing. You do not want to find someone who is way over the top and gives you injured. You must find the right balance between pushing yourself and do not exaggerate.

6. Clean. No body wants to enter a gym stinking of sweat covered equipment. Yuck! You want to ask how often the machines and locker rooms are cleaned. Search the corner or under the equipment, you see the dust bunnies?

7. And last but not least how and what condition is the equipment? Do they have enough machines for the number of their members? Nothing is worse than having to wait for a machine permanently when you try to get your workout done. Now, in fairness, there will be times when the advanced equipment might be a bit scarce, but with a good gym with good percentage of customers to machines that should be minimized.
