Chapter 4
The next hour and a half went by very quickly. It turned out that my wrist is not broken but badly sprained. WinCE I felt that the doctor attached a corset around him, but he felt nothing. I did not get my head around the fact that Tanner was a bad guy. My mother pulled up the drive in our white van. I left the car and ran straight to the heart before running the floor, leaving traces of mud on my shoes behind me.
I went into the bathroom and ripped my clothes still wet from my swim with Tanner, I grin just thinking about him. I got into the shower and poured cold water as it can go. The water started coming out of the shower head and shivered as he ran down my face. This was a desperate attempt to wake me from this nightmare, I begin to live. It had seemed so beautiful, so natural, so genuine and so sweet .... I have not managed to suppress a smile. I stayed there for about 10 minutes before finally drag myself. I wrapped a towel around me before turning off the light and walk in my room. I walked to the window and the curtains closed. I dropped my towel and threw on a t-shirt size. I'm heading to my bed, fell, buried my head in the pillow and wrapped myself in my duvet. It was only 4:00 and I was exhausted by all the news that have been piled on my shoulders. I fell asleep quickly and quietly, listening by clicking on the hooves of horses in the pasture.
I woke up slowly, starting with open eyes, ending with a look at the clock. It was 5:00 in the morning, after my fatigue and early night. I stayed there for several minutes before realizing that I had a lot of work to do this morning. I pulled up, got out and strutted to my dresser. I got into jeans and a hoodie.
Descending the stairs, I went through all that haunted me. I needed to find the truth of Tanner. The real truth.
I went into the kitchen and lit the lamp. Squinting at the lights, I was walking on the pants and grabbed a box of cereal. Too tired to get a bowl, I slumped on the table. From time to time I stick my hand in the box and chew a handful of dry cereal. When I finished, I left the box on the table, stuffing my feet into my boots and cowboy quietly slipped outside.
I descended the steps of our porch. Something rustled in the bushes. I kept my arm right next to me, walking a little faster. The unique sound of the rustling not immediately. I quickly looked behind me there was nobody there.
Then started to run, then Run, then sprint, my destination of the barn. I ventured another glance over my shoulder while I ran. I ran straight into something soft, but solid. I shouted, the arms of someone bigger than me caught me before I fell. I turned around, facing the person, and took my mouth with both hands before I could scream.
Tanner stood there a frown on his face, he seemed quite strange in the light of dawn.
"Are you well?" He asked looking at me from top to bottom.
"Me, I'm fine." I stammered, turning to walk around him. "I gotta go." I was always haunted by the thought of Tanner killed his own father. He really did not seem all that kind of guy. His grip loosened not on my arms, forcing me to fight even more.
"What is wrong with you? What have I done?" He asked, his voice full of factual innocence. A million thoughts raced through my head before I finally gained enough courage to ask what was in my mind all night.
"What happened to your father?" I..
