Sink Skirt

Sink SkirtWhere can I find a sink skirt, or find something to cover the ugly pipes in a half-bathroom.?

or is there a way I can do something like a blanket to hide the pipes. So I rent and do not plan to do anything expensive or permanent.

It is very easy to make your own even if you do not have a sewing machine. Measure around the sink from one wall to wall on the other side of the sink, then double that amount. This is the amount of yardage you need. Most fabric is 42 "wide, in order to circumvent the length of fabric on the side, and bottom hem up so that the skirt is the right length to cover from the floor about 1 inch in top of the sink. Run around a flexible "bottom up (cut a piece of the length of your original position. Sewn it well on one side and run it through the other side using a pin security as your "needle" and then sew it tight on the other side and even brings you did. Use of the industrial Velcro seamless, apply a side skirt and the other at the sink level you want to start coverage. Now you have a skirt and removable adhesive Velcro can be removed when you decide to move.

I tried it and it lasted about six months because the top glided Velcro. Report Abuse

Get a curtain of Velcro and cheap ....

The only place I could find was on Ebay - just search for the skirt sink. For some reason, they are really hard to find in stores.

Carol Wright gifts had one. Do a search on the web.

Been there! I found the best solution was a shower curtain that matched the one on the tub. I cut to the proper height, and ran a chain around the pelvis, attaching it with a photo-Tapti adhesive hooks (available from your local dollar store.) It allowed me to still access under the sink, where I store my piston and bleach and toilet cleaner, while keeping the room clean and tidy. In three years I was there, I changed the shower curtain and sink skirt-three times - but the hooks lasted all the time. It was a nice way to freshen the look of the bathroom.

It is easier. Buy plants (not too large, because they grow before your move out) as a decorative screen and place them under the sink.

If you do not sew, it is easier to measure from the floor to the top of your sink (below), then buy window curtains to this length. Buy one of these rods stretch and just drag it into the top of the curtain. Secure the rod with cup hooks. Good Luck

As Dan said I have some stick on Velcro and apply it to the underside of the sink and apply the other of the curtain to put them together
