is £ 1 per hour on the right cost to run central heating for 5 rads I tested it today because I use a pre payment meter, I have 4 rads and towel rad i left thermostatic valves Issue 4 and timed for 1 hour and 98p that cost is cheap, expensive or about right.

All energy systems energy consumption based on the amount of heat loss through insulated walls, roof and floors. poorly insulated walls and roof combined with a poorly designed heating system will cost more.

Radiators are not heating more efficient because heat rises and if you do not have fans to move hot air around the heat rises up the heater.

My gas bill is £ 150 quarterly, and I'm running 4 radiators during the night all the time.
Thus, the forecast would be my bill: £ 336 a quarter just for heating alone!
