Wall Mounted Glass Shelves

Wall Mounted Glass ShelvesWhere can I buy wall mounted glass shelves? Or the glass shelves that you see in stores?

The more expensive the better! Thank you. : D

The glass shelves are usually made using tempered glass with finished edges. Tempered glass cutting and edge finishing is not something that the average hardware store or home improvement can do. It takes skill and know-how of a specialist glass.

The best advice is to visit your local glass shop. department stores in major metropolitan areas may stock a variety of materials and equipment, but most probably will not. They have specialized catalogs, where the material can be ordered. Of course, they can provide the glass to be used for the shelving. They will be the size of the thickness of glass based on the length between supports and the weight to be shelved.

Unfortunately, glass shelves and all the necessary equipment is inexpensive because they are specialty items. You can get lucky and find pre-cut kits with three glass shelves and brackets used to install them. These kits are also inexpensive and are generally available in lengths relatively short shelf. You can also find them available in stores glass and warehouse retailers.

Good luck with your project glass shelf.

Try ikea.com or go to IKEA if you have one near you. They used to make glass wall shelves.

Go to your hardware, you can buy media shelves that are tailored to your needs reasonable size, color and width wise. Then wise to visit a specialist glass business, they will know what glass thickness you will need and cut it to size and finished the edge so it is safe to use for such purposes. Much cheaper than buying shelves already, they will also have the accessories you'll need shelves to put your parentheses to stop the movement of glass over them.
Good luck with your project :-)
